Take Notes. I am living in a truck. In the morning, I meet up with my Appalachia neighbors in a coffee shop. We solve the problems of the world. I usually get one these guys to join my side. Hurricane Helena killed husbands, wives, and kids. Body parts are still falling from trees where they’ve been for weeks. We have all lost our homes, our pictures, our schools, our churches, none of us have been spared. CNN with its helicopters has left. Nothing sexy about garbage and wood piles ten feet tall. Weeks have passed. No one in our coffee group has even seen anyone in authority. “Trump will help us.” The wise men know. Nothing. Trump hates the oath he took to protect the constitution. He will kill us in cold blood. Not help us. Americans are vicious. Americans do not care about the constitution. Guns. Guns. Guns. They have no food. But they all have guns. On them. It’s entirely legal. Americans believe in being ruled. What happened to just being free. They all think the porn star gig was hilarious, but their wives are mad about it, yet they will vote for whoever their husbands tell them to vote for. As will our 80 year old waitress. We are all still working. I am pounding nails and roofing staples on roof tops. Houses with children need roofs. Not a lawyer. I am sure there is a law against it. People take their naked showers with a hose. There are laws that ban nudity. Throw us in jail. There is no legal system that means us. The lot of us think we are already in a civil war. – tim barrus
