Your Sacred Democracy Is Dead
Someone at the New York Times is consistently employing the word lies.
Not falsehoods. Not misstatements. Someone there is calling a spade a spade.
The softening of the blow – this refusal to call a lie a lie renders the publication itself complicit – is patently absurd and beneath contempt. Can America survive 2020. No.
Ameria is already a dead carcass. There is a lot of handwringing at the New York Times. It is called denial.
Can it happen. When will it happen. How will it happen. The loss of democracy is always just around the corner. If we could all just be gentlemen.
Our democracy has been over for some time. People (with jobs) have a very real investment in maintaining the lie that we can tweak the system to make democracy work more effectively syndrome.
We live in a failed state. Own it.
But it is impossible to own when you need the thing to work just to keep your privilege through the day. Something that is a misstatement or a falsehood is itself a lie. Maybe if we just tighten these bolts over here. Give this over there a new coat of paint.
Bolts and a paint job cannot cover up the exhaustion of the great machine. The lies that the entire regime tells cannot cover up an engine that is coughing, smoking oil into the atmosphere, and swallowing its tongue.
I am not allowed to say anywhere in the New York Times that I am with Antifa. It is forbidden. Censorship runs deep. Nevertheless. I am with Antifa. And we fight back. We are not afraid. Your sacred democracy has been buried in a graveyard. It doesn’t really matter what the New York Times fucking thinks.
