I am a communist. Thank you for this piece with Slotkin. I learned a lot. Elissa isn’t getting it. She’s not alone. Our elected officials are way behind on this. Slotkin still feels that the system works. She is an institutionalist, she’s from the CIA, and those folks are all about process. Americans are blind because they want to be blind. What does it take to facilitate Americans to see what is going on all around them. Denial is a very tricky thing to short circuit. Denial is the homo sapiens’ brain telling us: Let’s stay out of trouble so we can survive. If we don’t validate it, it’s not there. M. Gessen gets it right. It’s over. Slotkin still thinks she can fight The Deviant. And win. She thinks the democrats can get it together if they just work hard enough. She’s flailing. The Deviant rules. No one talks about what would happen if an election took place today. We need a real parliament. I demand the names of the young soldiers who will kill us. I want to talk directly to them. The most psychotic are with ICE. The gulag. Why do they want to kill us. I took a poll of soldiers. Out of 100 soldiers, how many of them will kill us. We are their neighbors and relatives.
