I left porn for many of the same reasons David French articulates. He never mentions gay porn. It’s not exactly what the legal porn experts want to chew on in their fetish disguised as Blazing Swords for Seniors. What grace I see in this piece (French is a talented writer, but we do not share one single value) is a white wash of Ain’t It Awful. What is a political act. Now, it becomes more complicated than anyone could know. French understands history and homo sapiens sapiens. Often, his commitment to religion obscures process, and David French knows how process works. That is what all Americans actually want. A process that works.

A process where every child eats the flag. Seven billion taken from them. Now, that’s a crime. Our priorities are one sick cookie. I live close to French. I know these hills. Let’s debate. Let’s debate about how sex is a political weapon. In these here hills, two words: Madison Crawford. I saw the video. Sex and power are wrapped up tight. I did films because I had not eaten in a while. Dumpster diving. It’s not like they prey on us. There is a long line of volunteers. David turns to cultural rot, and he’s right. Poverty attacks the soul, America. I did what I did to eat. I saw the Meese Commission coming like a tank. All they knew of me were all my other names. But it was time to get out of Dodge. Porn is now amateur porn. I have always been alone. I got a job teaching sixth graders Sexual Education. You all have failed them.
