hiding and laughing/ under the bed/ what are you, nine/ i would be nine, but i do not know how/ today, we are both under the bed/ telling stories of ourselves/ that time we danced with divine/ in speedos/ don’t give me that american flag one/ we keep falling over laughing/ because we have this history of dawns and tongue and playing tricks on tricks, far and away/ we play fish with the new set of cards/ as fast as summer will take us/ we drag divine’s couch out to the pool/ swimming in the candle blue/ dripping wet and glittering on petronia street/ beer run to aunt lolly’s/ fall into the couch by the pool/ then stand
