We elected it. Nothing works. Our culture is irresponsible, and reprehensible. Our systems failed. Our politics failed. Our institutions failed.
We failed.
America writ large. Capitalism failed.
We cannot wiggle out of the thing. The resposibiliuty for our own greed and racism. We created our own nightmare. We can’t even stop a disease in its tracks. All we can do is watch it on TV as it puffs its chest out, and sinks us into irrelevance and oblivion.
It relishes our deaths, and we will elect it again.
Because that is the evil of who we are.
We are America and we have driven America into the ground.
