Xrayy Photography Has Me By the Balls

I do defy but by degrees most photos from the past but the past of what is another dimension and this one would be filled with light. Despite being quite a step forward in artificial lighting
development, the early chemicals used in photography were harsh and could only turn out shit for photos. Producing a shorter, and therefore more predictable flash became the goal.

There was one solution: magnesium. In 1862 Edward Sonstadt began experiments to prepare the metal, and by 1864 magnesium wire was finally placed on sale. The wire was extremely expensive, but following an successful demonstration in February the same year, where a photograph
was produced in a darkened room in only 50 seconds.

Actinic shadows are magical. Even movement is set in stone.

X-rayy photography is removed because it sets a strange ideal for photography. That is what another dimension is.

I am hoping to use my Xrayy formula with photographs made with magnesium, and maybe even a layer of the holocene on fire.

I am thinking it could be done but the magnesium will make it or break it. Exposure times will be an adventure in chemicals. If I can master the holocene, I will go back to the byzantine calendar, Buddha’s Parinirvana, perhaps Phanerozoic as the flash goes down to bone, and time plays trumpets with peyote blues. That is why I am a photographer. To go directly to these places and inside flesh. The fetish to objectify. That place where I do not have to wear the autistic mask so I can pretend to know what the fuck you are talking about. Open your butt to the music and let it happen. Only dance when I leave the room. – Tim Barrus
