Violence Against Sex Workers

Kirk is quite typical for a seventeen-year-old except for one thing. He does sex work to survive.

One in five police reports of sexual assault from an urban, U.S. emergency room were filed by sex workers. Sex workers were younger, poorer and suffered a greater number of injuries than other victims.

Bad guys. We call them tricks. One of the things you’re listening to with a trick is your own internal dialogue. Is the trick too good to be true. A lot of tricks are married men, and the contradictions they live with can be overwhelming. Is this the family car he wants to fuck you in.

Violent tricks will wait until after they’ve cum to lose their shit with you. Plan your means of escape. 95% of violence directed at sex workers – both male and female – is not reported. For one thing, the sex worker himself is often arrested. One way to facilitate male sex workers to not come forward is to abuse them with brutal anal exams in an emergency room. If you have been through it once, you don’t want to go through it again.

They rape you, and then they rob you, and then the police arrive, and you get raped again in an emergency room where everyone knows the cops by their first names, and bubba camaraderie is the default setting for the overt dehumanization going on here.

Tricks will try to hide the gun if they are carrying one, but I have noticed something about armed tricks. You can spot the gun to be in the neighborhood of his dick.

Sex workers are now buying their own guns. Outcalls are way more dangerous than when the trick is coming to you.

Once you arrive at his location, it become more difficult to control the scene. Is it worth the extra fifty bucks to allow him to choke you while he cums inside of you. A trick manipulating a young sex worker to fuck without a condom and is ready to pay extra, extra usually being another hundred bucks, is actually committing a crime violence against the kid. Playing sadomasochistic games is not a thing any kid can give consent to. There is no amount of money worth getting tied up for. It’s very dangerous.

“But he seemed so nice.”

Nice is no excuse.

We take Kirk home from the ER. In the next few hours, he’s going to fall apart. Holding off the demons that are on their way is a task no one can live up to.

I tell kids to take a temperature of the night. Kids used to tell me they didn’t know what that meant.

They know.

I train kids who do sex work to take photographs of license plates, and then send those photos to a photographic account.

It gives us a starting place when we have to wade out there and find either your corpse or your body.

Some scenes just aren’t worth it.
