Tim Barrus: The Failure of Capitalism

I am a communist. Capitalism is immoral. Capitalism exploits. Capitalism entrenches class and caste. An intolerant religion. It is the monstrosity upon whose bones rests the rusted rooms of pain. Capitalism demands probate. The homeless will arrive at your door, and we will ring the bell, and beg. We will rob everyone and we will eat your food and we will feed your fish. We will all take showers (and pretend we live here) because we have homeless skin, and you should have seen the pharmaceuticals in the bathroom. How is it that there is no sing song in any of these homes Americans chill like ice is in vacant motels of remembering and regret. Capitalism requires ruthlessness and the shaping of human behavior. It has no home. Its only moral compass is greed. It only consumes. It’s as crooked as a barrel of fishhooks. Capitalism itself is a crime against humanity. Housing is a broken record. There Is Nowhere To Live as public policy. Capitalism depends upon indifference. It feeds on desolation, and a loneliness that is the built-in inability to connect. Capitalism feeds on the image of a golden parachute. More is better. Then, what. There is always someone around to enslave. You cannot have a narco-state like America without an outcast status of the despised. The greasing of the wheels. Take a trip. Louisiana is nice this time of year. Chemical corridor is a snapshot of what we have done. There is nowhere to live. There is nowhere to die. Housing is an empty promise.
