Tim Barrus: Suicide is a Political Act

Tim Barrus, New York Times

I am a communist. I read Ezra Klein in fragments. Ezra connects the fragments. Ezra is the best in the business. New York Times marketing is “offering” Ezra Klein to its readership as their flaming progressive. This, of course, is patently absurd. Ezra is careful. He’s no progressive. He abides by the rules and must leave on there-is-hope (a company rule). After stating the problem, we are told, the middle of the piece has to fit the paradigm which maintains the experts know. Answers. We must follow the academics. Reporters get away with just-call-them on the phone. Where do I find space in this life for family stuff. You Americans are slaves to a form of democracy where you just make it up as you go along. Survival plays a part in this and we are trying-to-survive out here. Sparta arrives in Athens. Greek citizens jumped from cliffs to their death. There is always suicide. It’s repugnant, but it’s a solution. Even if it is never seen as a solution. Let conservatives know we will not live on a planet with them. There is no living with conservatism. It wants you dead. It will skin you. Alive and screaming blood. My dumpster dives tonight included outdated milk that has yet to spoil. Green mold from cheese can be cut away. I don’t see how the city dog catcher is going to work with a city counsel to expand voting. The right to vote is lost. It’s gone. It was an idea. One, Overlords cannot tolerate. Tghey will publish you only if they agree with your fundamental premise. Someone put a dead dog in a dumpster tonight. The potato salad is a little tangy but what’s bacteria got to do with it.
