Tim Barrus: Ezra’s Abundance

I am a communist. I do not understand what this term – abundance – means. How is it politik. What does it translate into. I do understand the politik of economic redistribution. Income inequality. Corruption. The rich are afraid that everyone wants to rip them off and steal their stuff. It is high school thinking. It is a paranoia of the lizard is eating its tail. So, overhaul the state. Escape from Dystopia. Tension. Hordes of us poor people with our brooms. Rakes. Signs with bad words. The finger. We need to discredit capitalism as a politikal movement. Communism is a sociopolitical, philosophical, and economic ideology built within a socialist framework, whose goals would be the creation of a state of being centered on common ownership of the means of production, distribution, and exchange that allocates “stuff” based on need. A communist society entails the absence of private property. Private property is the bedrock of American culture. I am only a communist because at least it’s a system that recognizes the reality that the rich live off the backs of the poor. Communism 101. The rich see us impoverished types in the same way they see animals. Soldiers are already in the streets. They’re breaking heads in Los Angeles. It has begun. I didn’t think we would get here until late summer. The spark is lit. It is an abundance of sparks. What I see is an abundance of fire after fire. What I see coming is an abundance of death. Yours. Mine. It’s over.
