Public Health Adolescent Anal Examinations
I don’t really give a fuck what Public Health is assuming or looking for.
With boys, they’re looking for anal warts.
Those boys feel the exams are sexually abusive. The boys I teach, strenuously object to being treated like an objects.
I have joined that chorus. Someone has to be on their side. That would be me.
It doesn’t matter what public health says. It’s about what the kid says and feels. If the kid balks, the process has to stop.
The sexually transmitted human papilloma virus may be behind the sharp rise in cases of throat and mouth cancers among young American adults. Anal warts are common among boys who are sexually active. The warts cause cancer.
You are thinking the boys should have to simply put up with it because it can save their lives. How convenient for you. My boys are steadfastly intransigent. They refuse to return to the Public Health HIV clinic. Ever again.
They have flushed their HIV meds. They have washed their hands of doctors. I am told that enough is enough.
There is an immunization for boys that prevents human papilloma virus. If it means being sexually violated, they will have nothing to do with the entire dog and pony show. Some children just do what they are told. That is not the case here. At all.

Me and whose army. No army I am aware of.
I keep wondering why upper middle class boys never seem to have these problems or overtly struggle with authority that involves sex or sexuality.
None I know. Actually, I don’t know any.
Seven thousand Americans a year are diagnosed with anal cancer (American Cancer society). Rates of gay boys are higher than any other group.
The CDC maintains that most gay males have the disease. I’m still not sure why they can’t just be given the fucking shot.
But no.
Public Health is not known for flexibility. My boys have none.
It is tragic that the boys reject the entire system. But there it is. The slow decline has begun.
