Foster Care In the NYT

I am a communist.

I picked one of the most meaningless, ubiquitous, photographs I can find to illustrate the problem of foster care and murder. This is the kind of image government administrators use so when you read about what the fuck they’ve done gets obfuscated in procedure. All goodness and playing in the fields of plenty. The above photograph in the context of foster care is an obscenity.

I have never ever found any group charged with the survival of kids-at-risk to be so connected, so interlocked with the systems we have created that speak to poverty, death, killings, addiction, detention, education, HIV, Covid, and rape. Foster care itself is economically strangled (many cannot afford masks) and we resent providing a life to these kids because we want more stuff. Just fucking stuff. You all love stuff and more stuff and more stuff. That ultimately is what we Homo sapiens are all about. Stuff. Government. Money. Failure. Run Aways. Sex work. Cops. Jail. Detention where they are commonly beaten and fucked in the ass. Survival sex work. Drugs.

What school. No social worker, not one, has ever bothered to explain a motive, as to opting for punishment as routine. And how is it, the NYT does not know this. Why is it that so many children get moved around home-to-home like pieces of ass on a chess board.

None. Not one. Person. Explains. This phenomenon just shuts the up.

Because they are tuned into their power, they’re threated, they treat kids with overwhelming contempt. We do not need better social work as what we really need to do is burn the system we have down, it’s not going to go away of its own volition. Kids could band together, they already know who the enemy is, and bring what paradigms these enemy people do-gooders force upon them to their very Child Care knees. The Child Care Workers Themselves do not know how to see the interiority, the validation of the child (he is to be controlled, not validated). They run away like fat social worker rats. Impossible to squeeze juice from a stone. Nothing is impossible. No one wants to hear about any of this. Whenever I see a child who has been moved around a lot, I see a wild animal in that kid who has been shut up, shut down, and shattered. The kid is one inch from letting the wild animal run loose. He wants you to let him go. What difference does it make when the people who supposedly care for you are the same people who have no center and the only people who work these jobs are marginal themselves. The social workers in Los Angeles are complicit in seeking nighttime use of a downtown office building where the kids all slept on the floor at night when the workers are at asleep at home. In beds. I TOLD YOU, I am a communist. People ask me why.

You fucks know why. I have helped collect data on this group of kids, and one of the most pronounced statistics is a suicide rate (which is with a pandemic, sky high) double the suicide rate of everyone and everything else – like relationships that get ghosted – that hell itself can cascade and go bad for these kids. An office floor is not a home. Why are foster children only allowed to eat food (permeal) that clocks in at $1.39. You try it. Volunteer Food Banks have kept foster children afloat. Foster care in America is a murderous nightmare that leads directly to incarceration and in that setting they are turned into zombies (zombies do not learn anything in school, or anywhere) by chemical restraint. DRUGS. We use what we abuse. We throw children under the rug, we then proceed to stomp on that rug with Authority’s boot.

There are two MILLION homeless children in America. The UN tells us that last year 100,000 at-risk children were murdered. The UN members fight tooth and nail the public perception that children are never murdered in their countries. What tourist wants to relax in a murder scene. Research found 90 percent of these victims lived in low income countries, with Latin America and the Caribbean having the highest levels of child homicide in the world. Not America. Not Russia. Not China. Not Africa. But the Caribbean. Thirty percent of children in foster care are sexually abused. The state with the highest numbers of raped boys incarcerated in prison (yes, children go to prison) is Georgia. Let’s all vacation in Georgia. Just don’t bring your son. Detention for foster kids is murderous.

The murderer is created in detention. So are the victims. Kids who have committed no crime are thrown into detention. Detention IS foster care. A parent dies, you go to detention. This comment will be dismissed by the NYT gatekeepers. Who seem to think that the discussion of foster care, murder, and the sexual assault of imprisoned kids, and farmed out kids who mix in the common area of the prison, is out of bounds by the etiquette rules at the NYT. You people at the NYT are part of the problem. You people can discuss poverty, foster care, the murder of children, in an academic context. Period. Start publishing people who are POOR TODAY. Give them a voice. Foster care kills kids. Let us hide it. Let us weep. Let us get rid of  the evidence that implicates every single person alive (social workers, this means you) who keep the lethal foster care system locked and loaded.
