Being There 4 When It Happens

by Hunter Layfield

It takes me a while to get what Tim is talking about when it comes to photography. This time: BEING THERE IS ABOUT MORE THAN HANGING OUT. Tay had to be comfortable with me in the room when he played on the mattress that is his bed. I had to be ready for something, anything that might happen. I know what Tim is trying to do. He wants to take these skeletons of photography and make them concepts for how to live a life. I tend to run from conflicts. This means that I tend to run from the better, happier moments, too. I am aware of it. In my gut I am still afraid that if I stay around I will get my ass whipped again. I did get the photograph. Now to use it in my life.
