A Psychopath is a Psychopath is a Psychopath

Rising heat is the enemy. But can we afford the time it will take to rid ourselves of the lack of values that blockades the Paris Agreement.

Whenever I use the word, psychopath, the New York Times nervously runs, retreating behind the word civility.

They will refuse to publish this.

Yet it’s decorum that exists, not as a rock to hide behind, but civility is also defined by the word compliance.

No one marching in Europe such as in front of Parliament, is demonstratively exhibiting compliance with a graciousness precluding extinction. Our species is facing a ticking time bomb.

Our leaders are spineless. One is a psychopath. They benefit from the status quo. The Paris Agreement demonstrates that the status quo is what got us here. It is pathological to insist otherwise.

A century seems like a long way off. All I have to do is take one look at my grandchildren to know it’s not a long way off enough. My grandchildren will be confronted with decisions no other generation of humans on the planet have had to grapple with.

Or have they.

I would suggest that the subspecies – Neanderthals – who lived 40,000 years ago, also faced global warming. They were archaic humans adapted and evolved to confront the cold. They went extinct. It is the origin of language that separates the species. The language of emergency is always used as more compelling communication than the language of civility.

For human nations to agree on anything is relevant. The psychopath is irrelevant.
