I do not believe America is worth it. Just writing this, is a political act. People claim: “I finally have my new house.” No. The bank owns your house. The bank decides. Most Americans own a car. The bank owns your car, too. Childcare is seen as women’s work. Their jobs are cute, but it doesn’t matter what women say. What matters is what women get. Usually, what they get is throttled back. Please don’t cry with Aunt Bea. Get up from that kitchen floor right now. Aunt Bea, tell her to stand up straight. It typecasts you in the eyes of the male economic gaze. America is the land of illusions. No health care for children. No cancer research. I have seen ICE grab kids and throw them into an unmarked car. The American people have failed themselves. I was a single, parent, too. I flew my kids (finally) out of America. I stayed. So I can write and photograph what I see. What I see is a tsunami of sheer hatred. Legacies are not icons. I think I will begin this project with kids being manhandled. If you are manhandling pubescent little girls, I want you to know that there are people out there taking photographs, shooting video, publishing it. Kidnapping is not public policy. App. I would never ever in a million years condone this, but it just becomes information as to what direction they have taken. Riding merrily merrily in their big big armed vehicles to go get some kids. Yeah. Big Macho Men. Drones, too, do not interfere. Burners. Please tell the senator that they have won.
