There is something a little inflated about an editorial POV that paints Republicanism as the real America. I would argue that Republicanism is what has caused us to stand on the brink but we do not know what of. Looking down at our feet, we know the abyss is there. But as long as we can keep a status quo from some ancient monument to dinosaurs, we are, today, them. Predation is a way of life.
