I usually don’t comment on anything David Sanger writes because I find him to be right at the heart of everything, and formidable. Few writers can do what he does. It’s in the no nonsense nuance. I am out of my league there. Suddenly, I am remembering duck and cover. A patriarchal pretense that the old white men will save us. They new best. They always knew best. Our job was to shut the fuck up. And when we tell you to duck and cover, you better duck and cover.
