Civility

Dreampolitik is denial. Cute. Deathpolitik is far more real. I am not the kind of person who should be reading this smart, somewhat intellectual take on what happened as if this might be 2016 again and again. Georgia voters should be reading this. The groundhog is still in the White House. Douthat does not talk much about evil, deathpolitics, hell, or sainthood. The groundhog plays us, plays Democracy, plays golf. While the world burns with every ounce of his evil hate. I’ve read every word Ross Douthat has every written. He’s not unlike a thermometer for me. I can look over the fence at the other side, and see the institution of family, Church doctrine. The take on conservative politiks. I do not agree with Douthat much but I am not terrorized. Ross uses the word malice. He writes from principle. My side of the fence usually writes from rage. Many of us in Antifa have been laying low. I am far too loud for my own good. Some of us in Antifa know we are being followed. To tell you how I know that would be to tell the secrets of the tribe. I will say that Antifa has methods for the madness regarding being stalked. We want them to go see Big Fat Nothing Brick Wall. They are wasting their time, and your money. Some of us harken back to Vietnam. We know how to organize. We know how to spit. I was in Act Up. We know the power of symbolism even if there are far fewer of us than Americans think. We are Deathpolitik party girls. We are waiting quietly to see what happens next.
