TRUMP IS THE MEDIA’S FETISH
Never mind the mask. It is simply accoutrement. I want to imply the word fetish. Trump is the media’s fetish.
The media’s fetish for covering Trump is not simply covering Trump. It is covering lies with the excuse that lies are news. Lies are not news with Trump. Lies are his status quo. Cottle employs the word no. The word no is so utterly soft.
Erase the no. Replace the word with LIE. We give Trump so much more room to lie than the universe itself deserves. The media did, indeed, elect Donald Trump. The media gave him free of charge pieces of itself with the fixation they were covering something shiny and new. We are not a flock of crows who endeavor to embed glitter in the nest.
I don’t blame reporters. They are told by editors that what they do is important. That, too, is a lie. Until the media wants to start calling a spade a spade we will be stuck with another dictator and his fourth-grade vocabulary screaming he is a poor victimized innocent. He is a crime boss and we allowed the media to portray him a a savior. The media does not like to face the reality they are covering a cult. They were had.
We were had. And we will be had again. It will be the media’s fault. They simply cannot admit they are more than bit players in a fetish that abuses us, beats us up, and robs us at every turn because the lies and the lies and the lies are treated as reverently as the holy Bible.
The are not the Bible, editors, they are lies, lies, lies. You have no ground to stand on. Trump is not going to get coronavirus and he is not going to have a heart attack to cover so you have to be there. Grow up.
