What you Came To See

“So, then what is democracy, anyway.”

I have no idea. I have never lived in one. I’m fucking stupid. Our version of Democracy is robbing the rich to pay the rich so the rich can in return claim Capital Gains administrated by lawyers – invested in the patriatchal Hierarchy of Corporate Profit Greed  – which are the exception to the rules of law. When Republicans don’t want to pay taxes, they resort to a radical approach, they don’t pay taxes. We are indoctrinated. Six year olds swear to a ridiculous piece of sacred rag tacked to the wall. When you tell Americans they do not live in a Democracy, they scream: He’s a communist. I am a communist. Just fuck me.

Losing Democracy is not a strategic cultural issue because we have already lost Democracy. Any other version of that involves creative accounting. Power resides in the Bring Us Together Paradigm of rhetorical fantasy based on fictional beliefs that are, in fact, different denials. Americans believe in Martian laser beams. Americans deny there was an insurrection at the Capitol building. Americans deny the culture is racist. Americans deny that capitalism has gone mad as a hatter. Americans deny elections are unfair and are never final. On the same night Texan Aristocracy-Republicans lose voter suppression, they demand new elections until they win one. Let’s all vote tinhorn until Republicans win, and the masochistic, acquiescent, ready to comply Democrats march to Mitch McConnell’s tune of making it very clear that it is impossible to get in his limo when so many Democrats are restrained on the concrete, cuffed, searching for sharp rocks embedded in their faces. He so wishes, Democrats would stop crawling to kiss his feet. When Democracy was invented, Mitch didn’t have many feet to play Filibuster Fiddledeedee. The Democrats keep giving them dog treats, which the Republicans eat gratefully as they stick it to the Democrats. The Democrats will accept economic compromise that we all have to pay for when programs fail, fail in committee where there is no will for traction as Republicans look around the room, and see only themselves. The Republicans are across the street having cocktails. Does this sound like Democracy to you. The Democrats want to buy another round. Democracy has been dead a long time. It’s dogshit.
